Start with an itemised quote
Ask for the estimated total and which items are included. Third-party costs can include cemetery or crematorium charges, certificates, newspaper notices, flowers, celebrants, venues and other services.
Ask about cultural and religious needs
If your family has specific washing, viewing, prayer, burial, timing, language or community requirements, discuss them early. A provider who understands your needs can prevent unnecessary stress.
Price matters — but so does clarity
The lowest advertised number is not always the lowest final cost. Compare what is actually included and whether the provider communicates clearly.
